Hollywood comedian, actor and writer BILL MURRAY will host the 2016 Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin on April 18. Murray said, "As a world class athlete, I am at my best at a moment like this. It's what I have trained for" (Laureus). ... Former Olympic swimmer GRANT HACKETT “has been questioned by police after an altercation with a passenger on a flight.” He was taken off the plane at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport by Australian Federal Police on Sunday morning. No “charges have been laid, but police are investigating.” The altercation reportedly “occurred after the passenger in front of Hackett reclined his seat.” It is “not clear if the alleged altercation was verbal or physical” (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 4/18). ... Sri Lanka cricketer RANGANA HERATH announced his retirement from limited-overs internationals.
