IN BARCELONA: Catalan newspapers had "strong reactions" to Barcelona being eliminated. The "strongest" was Sport, whose cover recreated the poster from the TV series "Lost." The cover image features Lionel Messi and several of his teammates under the word "Perdidos." Mundo Deportivo used a play on words with the Spanish word for champion, "Campeón." The paper used the headline "CampeOff." La Vanguardia, with Messi on the cover, used "Barça drowns at the Manzanares." Its digital version "was much more convincing," saying, "Barça is the Titanic" (AS, 4/14).
