Marketplace Roundup: Borussia Dortmund Signs Deal With Mongolian Airlines

Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund has signed a sponsorship deal with Mongolian Airlines. The state-owned airline is the club's first regional partner in Mongolia. Dortmund signed a three-year deal with Mongolian Airlines until the end of the '18-19 season (Borussia Dortmund).

JOINING THE SQUAD: U.S. sports apparel brand Under Armour has added Bundesliga player Jonathan Tah to its portfolio of int'l football players. The 20-year-old who plays for Bayer Leverkusen will join Borussia Mönchengladbach's Granit Xhaka as a brand ambassador (Under Armour).

German 3rd League football club FC Magdeburg "has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with the Magdeburger Förderanlagen and Baumaschinen GmbH (FAM) for another two years through '17-18." FAM will reportedly pay an estimated €200,000 ($229,000) annually for the rights. The company has been a partner of the club since Oct. '14 (SPONSORs, 4/11).

Online betting provider Betsson has extended its partnership with the Mercedes Cup. Betsson "will continue as a second-tier partner of the ATP tournament." The Swedish company "will receive ad space on LED boards and a hospitality package." Betsson pays a reported €200,000 ($229,000) for the partnership (SPONSORs, 4/11).

Clif Bar & Company announced a three-year sponsorship agreement as the official sports energy bar and gel supplier of the 2016 Prudential RideLondon beginning this year. As part of the agreement, Clif Bar energy bars, Clif Bloks energy chews and Clif Shot energy gels will be available on-course during the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100, the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46 and at the Festival Zone during the Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle event (Clif Bar). 

Kia Motors will extend its support of the England women's cricket team after the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced a renewal of its partnership with the car manufacturer for two years, up until the end of May '18. The agreement will see Kia increase its investment and build on its commitment and support for the team (ECB).

The British Basketball League announced a new partnership with VIP Matchdays which will be selling exclusive VIP hospitality packages to all future BBL Finals. The partnership will see packages being sold for next month's season finale at The O2 in London, when the BBL and Women's BBL playoff finals are both on the same bill as HoopsAid 2016. VIP Matchdays is an event management company which specializes in the sale of official hospitality packages at key events and venues around the U.K. (BBL).
