Marketplace Roundup: Irish Gaming Operator SeanieMac Becomes ABP Of British Racing

Irish gaming operator SeanieMac agreed to substantially support U.K. racing, becoming an Authorized Betting Partner of British Racing and signing a deal to sponsor nearly 40 U.K. horse racing events in the coming months. SeanieMac joins the likes of Betfair, BetVictor, bet365 and 32Red in becoming a member of the ABP program. In addition, it signed a deal with the Jockey Club to sponsor almost 40 full race meetings over the next few months, reaching millions of viewers throughout Europe. SeanieMac's branding will receive live terrestrial TV coverage, with the events broadcast in every betting shop, printed in every newspaper and covered by major racing sites such as The Racing Post and SportingLife (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 4/7).

VODAFONE RENEWS IPL DEALVodafone India will continue its partnership with the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 9th consecutive year as the official partner and official sponsor (on-air) of IPL 2016. Vodafone is the only national brand to be associated with IPL since its inception in '08 (BUSINESS INSIDER, 4/6).

SYDNEY FC SIGNS DE LORENZO: W-League side Sydney FC signed De Lorenzo Haircare as its principal partner for two seasons. The De Lorenzo Haircare logo will appear on the front of the girls' playing shirts and polos, as well as branding exposure at matches and hospitality inclusions (Sydney FC).

INFRONT RECEIVES REWARDInfront Sports & Media and int'l creative agency Designwerk achieved industry recognition at the Hermes Creative Awards. Nominated with "Gold" in the category "Company Branding," the collaboration was acknowledged for the successful re-branding of the Turkish Basketball Super League launched in Oct. '14. Infront together with Designwerk developed in '14 the new visual identity for the league. It brought all the major properties under one coherent identity while providing a versatile branding system (Infront).

Denim company Spykar Lifestyles is investing Rs 20 crore ($3M) on a sponsorship deal with Indian Premier League team Rising Pune Supergiants. This is the first time that the Mumbai-based company "has decided to engage with the IPL" with a jersey deal which is expected to last for the next two seasons of the tournament (THE HINDU, 4/6).

Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan partnered with China CITIC Bank in launching a new, co-branded bank card. The deal will see the majority of Beijing Guoan supporters "receive one of the co-branded cards, which are carried by both CITIC’s standard and platinum accounts" (SOCCEREX, 4/7).
