La Liga Appoints CSM Sport & Entertainment To Handle Global Sponsorship Rights

La Liga appointed CSM Sport & Entertainment to represent the league's commercial and sponsorship rights in an exclusive global deal. As part of the deal, CSM will be engaged across all of La Liga's property inventory -- title partner, six global partners, regional and local partners. CSM declined to confirm the value or length of the contract. CSM Group CMO Tim Bampton told SBD Global that the partnership was developed through discussions with La Liga led by the agency's Spain office with global support. The deal with La Liga is CSM's first with one of Europe's "big five" football leagues. "La Liga is an extremely exciting opportunity for global businesses who want to engage audiences through the power of football," CSM Group CEO Zak Brown said. CSM, which is a division of Chime Communications, will also support the global strategic marketing activities of the Spanish top flight. The agency will engage its global rights representation team on this program, Bampton said. "We will also leverage our global footprint including both in the U.S. and Asia," he added. La Liga, which includes teams such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, is watched by more than 2.1 billion fans in more than 180 countries. La Liga President Javier Tebas added, "As the best league in the world, with the best teams and players, we strive to attract and work with truly world-class partners. We believe that CSM will be an extremely valuable partner in helping us achieve this vision."
