The Spanish Anti-Doping Agency (AEPSAD) sacked Madrid Doping Laboratory Dir RODRIGO AGUILERA. He had been in the position since Feb. '14, and was informed of his dismissal on March 10 (EL CONFIDENCIAL, 3/28). ... The Italian Rugby Federation said that Italy named former Ireland fullback CONOR O'SHEA as its new coach. The 46-year-old "signed a four-year contract starting in June" to take charge of the team that finished bottom of this year's Six Nations after five successive defeats under Frenchman JACQUES BRUNEL. O'Shea "will work alongside" former England utility back MIKE CATT, who has been appointed Italy's attack coach, and former Irish Rugby Football Union Technical Dir STEPHEN ABOUD (REUTERS, 3/25). ... Argentine first division side Atlético Rafaela named JUAN MANUEL LLOP its new coach on Saturday. He replaces JORGE BURRUCHAGA, who was sacked on Thursday. Llop, who has previously coached several Argentine clubs including Newell's and Godoy Cruz, signed a contract through June '17 (CLARÍN, 3/26). ... Ecuadorian first division side Liga de Quito Manager CLAUDIO BORGHI resigned from his position. Borghi stepped down following his team's 5-0 loss to league rival Barcelona (EL UNIVERSO, 3/28).
