PGA Tour Commissioner TIM FINCHEM announced that JAY MONAHAN has been named deputy commissioner and COO of the PGA Tour, effective April 1. Monahan has served as deputy commissioner since April 1, 2014 (PGA Tour). ... Sky Chief Marketing & Digital Officer STEPHEN VAN ROOYEN has been promoted to CEO of its U.K. and Ireland operations. His 10-year career at Sky has seen him "fill numerous senior roles, starting out as director of product management and product marketing, managing director of sales, marketing and brand" to his most recent role as chief marketing and digital officer, which he has filled since Aug. '14. Van Rooyen joined Sky from Virgin Media in '06, before which he held roles at Nokia, News UK and Accenture (THE DRUM, 3/24). ... Iris Worldwide launched a dedicated sports marketing division called Iris Sport to move the sector "out of the 1970s." The new division, headquartered in London within Iris’ offices in Southwark, will be led by Iris Managing Partner & Global Client Dir NICO TUPPEN. Tuppen becomes the managing director of Iris Sport and will lead a team of 25 in London. SIMON YOXALL, a group account director, will report to Tuppen, alongside SIMON WATSON, an associate director as Iris Concise (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 3/24).
