The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) announced that newly elected FIFA President GIANNI INFANTINO "will visit Rwanda later this year." FERWAFA President VINCENT NZAMWITA said that Infantino "plans to visit Rwanda during his maiden trip to some of the African nations" (XINHUA, 3/20). ... Britain's BRADLEY SMITH "will join the factory KTM effort" in the MotoGP World Championship for the '17 and '18 seasons. The acquisition of Smith, announced at the opening round of the 2016 MotoGP in Qatar, "follows the official roll out of the project at Austria’s Red Bull Ring in Spielberg" in October (GULF TIMES, 3/21). ... GARETH BALE "has become the all-time leading British goalscorer in La Liga’s history," surpassing GARY LINEKER at the top of rankings. The Real Madrid forward "scored his side’s third goal in their 4-0 rout of Sevilla, his 43rd strike in just 76 league appearances." Bale’s strike "took him past Lineker’s record of 42 goals in 103 appearances" (London INDEPENDENT, 3/21).
