Franchise Notes: Arsène Wenger May Walk If Arsenal Fans Continue To Protest

Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger is "concerned that growing supporter unrest could force him to an early exit" -- despite having the "unequivocal backing of the club's board." Wenger, who has one year left on his deal after this season, "will be allowed to mastermind his exit strategy but acrimony from Arsenal supporters means he could consider walking away after 20 years in north London." Owner Stan Kroenke has given "the beleaguered boss his full backing despite the team's alarming slump in form" (London DAILY MAIL, 3/14).

Serie A side Roma President James Pallotta blasted "foolish reports" he is to sell the club, saying that "Rome is stuck with me." Reports had surfaced in Italy "suggesting that the American could be looking to sell up, which he responded to through the club's Twitter account." In response to an article, Pallotta wrote, "Another foolish report" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 3/15).
