National Rugby League Side Cronulla Names Southern Cross Stadium Sponsor

National Rugby League side Cronulla Sharks announced that Southern Cross Group Services has become its new stadium naming rights partner. Southern Cross Group Services is an integrated provider of security, cleaning and facility services. For the next three years and effective immediately, Shark Park will be known as Southern Cross Group Stadium. Southern Cross Group Services will also become the security and cleaning provider for both the stadium and Leagues Club facilities (Cronulla Sharks). In Sydney, David Riccio reported taking over from Remondis, whose three-year contract was not renewed at the end of last season, "the partnership with Southern Cross Group Services is a timely financial boost for the Sharks who continue to make giant strides off the field." Prior to the NRL season kickoff, the Sharks recorded an "incredible" 69.3% increase in membership -- "the greatest rise in numbers of all 16 NRL clubs" (DAILY TELEGRAPH, 3/10).
