Marketplace Roundup: Emirates Unveils Plane Featuring Arsenal Players In Action

Serie A side AC Milan and its sponsor, Emirates, "are celebrating their partnership with a new Airbus A380 livery -- complete with a number of the players in action." The aircraft operated on the Dubai-Milan-N.Y. JFK route with images of Riccardo Montolivo, Mario Balotelli, Carlos Bacca, Keisuke Honda, Alessio Romagnoli, and Mattia De Sciglio spanning more than 500 square meters. Emirates said that the "AC Milan A380" will continue to operate to the 37 destinations it currently serves around the world. The Dubai carrier "rolled out a similar football-related aircraft last year" when it flew Arsenal on its preseason tour to Singapore (THE NATIONAL, 3/13).

IN CHINA: Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan has "become the third team from the league to announce Home Credit Group as a shirt sleeve sponsor." The deal with Beijing Guoan, which is title sponsored by Le Sports, "will run for three years, however no financial details were released" (SOCCEREX, 3/11). ... Chinese League One side Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard FC announced two sponsorship deals for the '16 season. Local lottery Xinjiang Lottery has signed as title sponsor of the club, while sports marketing firm Oceans Sports has become a strategic partner. Oceans Sports "already has a strong footprint in Chinese football," partnering with Chongqing Lifan and Changchun Yatai, as well as the Leopards’ fellow Chinese League One teams Shanghai Shenxin and Dalian Yifang (SOCCEREX, 3/11).

LIONS ADD PARTNER: Australian Football League side Brisbane Lions announced a three-year major partnership with Australian infant formula manufacturer Camperdown Dairy Int'l. The multi-million dollar sponsorship will see the brand's logo featured on the team’s jersey and includes significant signage, branding and activation opportunities across Brisbane Lions assets (Brisbane Lions).
