Marketplace Roundup: Yesss Electrical Partners With Bradley Wiggins' Cycling Team

Bradley Wiggins’ cycling team "is to be sponsored by Yorkshire wholesaler Yesss Electrical." Wiggins "set up his team last year, aiming to further boost the sport" in the U.K. and the deal means that Yesss will become one of its main sponsors for the next three years. The firm’s branding "will appear on all team kit worn by the cyclists and the company will also have access at key races." Wiggins "will be the face" of Yesss and appear at company events and in marketing material (PROLIFIC NORTH, 3/10).

PERSONAL GYM
: Commercial fitness equipment supplier Cybex Int'l UK was announced as an official supplier to Williams Racing. The announcement was made at the opening of the new Williams Cybex Gym, a 330 square meters training facility onsite at the team’s HQ in Grove, Oxfordshire. The new gym will be used by Williams’ 700+ staff, including the team’s pitstop crew and drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. As part of the exclusive five-year agreement, the Williams Cybex Gym will become a new U.K. showcase site for the fitness equipment manufacturer (Williams F1).

MARKETING BRIEFS ...
Recently promoted Serie A side Frosinone Calcio "signed a four-year partnership deal with financial services firm Consultinvest." The deal will see Consultinvest featured on Frosinone shirts and "is the latest in a string of deals for the Modena-based company" (SOCCEREX, 3/10).

Adidas was announced as League Championship side Birmingham City's official technical kit supplier for the next four seasons. The kit and training wear will be available over the summer, with a definite date yet to be announced (Birmingham FC).

Save the Dream and the Int'l Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women "announced a partnership to help empower young women and girls around the world through the power of sport." Save the Dream will work alongside the IAPESGW "to help create a stronger and more powerful voice for girls and women through sport, as well as promoting an environment where girls and young women can practice sport free from violence, corruption and discrimination" (GULF TIMES, 3/9).

Premiership rugby side London Wasps announced Fitbit as the club’s official wearable technology partner. Fitbit will work closely with Wasps, supplying devices to the senior and academy squads (London Wasps).
