Heavy snow and cold temperatures forced the third stage of the Paris-Nice cycling race to be canceled on Wednesday. The stage leaders were on the day’s third climb when the race jury decided it was "too dangerous to continue" the hilly 168km stage from Cusset to Mont Brouilly in the Beaujolais wine region with about 70km remaining (LONDON TIMES, 3/10).

The annual Int'l Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving World Series Beijing event is set to begin Friday at the Water Cube in Beijing. Last year's event saw China sweep all 10 Golds, "but things are a little different this year." With the Rio Olympic Games looming, this year's event "is considered a buildup to the global sport's quadrennial tournament, and athletes from around the world are eager to challenge China's dominance" (GLOBAL TIMES, 3/10).
