Man City Owner's UAE Club In Hot Water With FIFA Over Financial Complaints

Man City Owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan "could be caught up in a FIFA probe over accusations of financial mismanagement," according to Sami Mokbel of the London DAILY MAIL. UAE club Al Jazira, controlled by the Bin Zayed Al Nahyan family, is the "subject of complaints about monetary issues, including failure to pay agent and transfer fees." Sheikh Mansour is listed as vice chair of the honorary authority and the club president on Al Jazira’s official website. It is "understood a number of complaints have been lodged with FIFA." A FIFA spokesperson said, "We are not in a position to provide information on the number of hypothetical proceedings allegedly pending against a certain party" (DAILY MAIL, 3/8).
