League Notes: ICC Confident About Dharamsala, Delhi As World Twenty20 Hosts

Unfazed by the "uncertainty that looms over the World Twenty20 clash between India and Pakistan" in Dharamsala, the ICC on Monday said that it is "confident of the marquee game going ahead as scheduled and has no plans of shifting the venue." The world body is also "not too concerned about the logistical issues faced by Delhi's Ferozeshah Kotla ground." ICC CEO Dave Richardson said, "Challenges in respect to those two venues, they are there. But we are dealing with those problems." A two-member security team from Pakistan has "arrived in India on Monday to review the security situation ahead of the national side's visit to Kolkata" (THE HINDU, 3/7).

The West Indies Cricket Board will be "renamed Cricket West Indies shortly." The official announcement of the name change was made by WICB President Dave Cameron at the just concluded AGM and the board of directors quarterly meeting, held in Kingston (JAMAICA OBSERVER, 3/6).
