Honda announced "a change of leadership" in its F1 engine program less than a month before the season starts in Australia. Honda Motorsport Chief YASUHISA ARAI "will step down at the end of the month" and be replaced by YUSUKE HASEGAWA (REUTERS, 2/23). ... Senior Board of Control for Cricket in India VP and top Delhi & District Cricket Association official C.K. KHANNA has been appointed as principal advisor of the Supervisory Committee constituted by Justice MUKUL MUDGAL for the Int'l Cricket Council World T20 matches at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. The stadium will be hosting four matches during the World Cup T20, which is starting with a clash between Hong Kong and Zimbabwe on March 8 (PTI, 2/23). ... Italian luxury car brand Lamborghini has named STEFANO DOMENICALI its new president and CEO. The former Ferrari team principal most recently worked with Audi and the FIA. Domenicali replaces STEPHAN WINKELMANN, whose "exit has been rumoured for a little while," and who travels in the opposite direction to his successor, to head Audi’s Quattro division (TOP GEAR, 2/23). ... IndyCar named KV Racing Technical Dir BILL PAPPAS VP/competition & race engineering. He will be responsible for all engineering and technical operations, including chassis and engine development, safety enhancements and aerodynamic initiatives (IndyCar). ... Columbia Sportswear named Colorado-based Fenix Outdoors North America President & CEO JOHN CHRISTIAN WALBRECHT president of its Mountain Hardwear brand, effective March 7 (Columbia).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Argentine first division side Olimpo named CRISTIAN DÍAZ its new coach. Díaz played for the club during the '05-06 season. He replaces DIEGO OSELLA, who left Olimpo to take over as coach of Argentine first division side Newell's Old Boys (OLÉ, 2/22). ... Former EPL side Aston Villa and Scottish Championship side Rangers Manager ALEX MCLEISH agreed to coach Zamalek, the Egyptian club announced. The 57-year-old, who has also managed Nottingham Forest, Birmingham and the Scotland national side, will take over from former Tottenham striker MIDO, who was sacked two weeks ago after just 37 days in charge (PA, 2/23). ... La Liga side Granada confirmed that Manager JOSE RAMON SANDOVAL "is no longer on the bench, replaced until the end of the season" by JOSE GONZALEZ. Gonzalez takes over "with the team bottom of La Liga" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 2/23).
