Marketplace Roundup: Werder Bremen Renews Partnership With Germania Airlines

Bundesliga side Werder Bremen has renewed its partnership deal with Germania airlines until June 30, 2018. As part of the extension, Germania will increase its sponsorship activities. The airline will continue to receive LED space in camera view and remain the official presenter of the fan bench. Financial terms of the deal were not released (Werder Bremen). ... League Two side Northampton Town and the University of Northampton extended their partnership for a further three years. The university has been the club's principal partner since '13, and the new agreement will see two of the county's most recognized institutions working closer together than ever before (Northampton Town). ... McLaren-Honda announced Volvo Trucks as an official supplier of trucks and haulage to its Formula 1 team. The partnership will see McLaren-Honda take delivery of a brand new fleet of 24 Volvo FH Series trucks for the duration of the four-year agreement. It will provide transport solutions and logistics support for both race team and hospitality operations (McLaren). ... South African Super Rugby side Golden Lions Rugby Union announced Xerox has come on board as an additional sponsor for Vodacom Super Rugby in '16 and "will take up a position on the back of the Lions jersey." Xerox is "currently the title sponsor for the Currie Cup" (SPORT 24, 2/18).
