Event Notes: Mexican F1 Grand Prix To Keep Ticket Prices From Last Year

Tickets for this year's Mexican F1 Grand Prix "will cost the same as last year, event organizers announced." Tickets will be available via pre-sale for Santander and Banamex customers from Feb. 25-28, and will be available to the general public starting Feb. 29. Prices will range from 1,500 Mexican pesos ($79.47) to 12,000 Mexican pesos ($636) (LA AFICIÓN, 2/9). ... Azerbaijani Minister of Youth & Sports Azad Rahimov said that Azerbaijan has signed a contract for holding the Formula 1 European Grand Prix for 10 years. He added that if Azerbaijan within five years "takes a decision not to hold this competition, the country will be fined." Rahimov: "The budget for the Formula 1 European Grand Prix is still $12 million. It consists of fees and organizational costs" (TREND, 2/8).
