RUUD VAN NISTELROOY will "join the coaching staff" at Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven starting next season. The former ManU forward "will coach the strikers" in the club's U17, U19 and reserve teams. He will "leave his position as an assistant" to the Holland Manager DANNY BLIND (PA, 2/3). ... Australian Football League side Hawthorn President ANDREW NEWBOLD is "poised to join the AFL Commission as a potential replacement" for commission Chair MIKE FITZPATRICK. Newbold, who announced this week he was standing down as Hawks president immediately, is understood to be "among a short list of candidates to have met recruiters from Egon Zender as well as several commissioners and AFL presidents this week." There are two vacancies on the commission this year with CHRIS LANGFORD due to step down in March and long-term commissioner SAM MOSTYN "expected to depart later in the year" (THE AGE, 2/3). ... Former Derry City and Glenavon striker MARK FARREN "has died, aged 33." Farren "had been receiving treatment for an aggressive brain tumour and his death was announced on Wednesday." He played for City from '03-12, "scoring 114 goals in 209 appearances for the club" (BBC, 2/3).

MORE ACCUSATIONS: Brazilian prosecutors "filed a formal complaint" against NEYMAR and his father on Tuesday for "tax evasion and providing false information." Former Barcelona President SANDRO ROSELL and current President JOSEP MARIA BARTOMEU "were also accused by the Prosecution Service in Santos," Neymar's home town. The prosecution's statement said, "They forged a series of documents between 2006 and 2013 with the intention of reducing the taxes owed to the inland revenue in Brazil. Neymar's conduct, along with the others accused, caused millions in losses to the public coffers." The allegations refer to image rights contracts from '06 when Neymar was playing for Santos. Prosecutors allege "further fraud occurred during negotiations" to take him to Barcelona in '11 (London DAILY MIRROR, 2/3).
