BEN BUCKLEY has resigned from pay-TV operator Foxtel, where he is exec director, sport, and Foxtel Victoria -- to lead new sports technology business Beyond Boundaries Global. It is understood Foxtel CEO RICHARD FREUDENSTEIN will name a replacement for Buckley this week "as part of a wider management restructure" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 2/3). ... Motorsport.com, a Miami-based technology and multimedia company with offices in 15 countries, announced the appointment of veteran motorsports journalist ORIOL PUIGDEMONT as MotoGP editor -- Motorsport.com. Puigdemont has spent the last 11 years with Spanish newspaper El País, covering worldwide events such as MotoGP, Formula 1 and the Dakar Rally. He joins Motorsport.com with immediate effect. Puigdemont will lead all Motorsport.com’s MotoGP content direction for the company’s global platform and report directly to Editor in Chief CHARLES BRADLEY. He will be based out of Barcelona, Spain (Motorsport.com). ... Columbia Sportswear named JASON ZHU GM of its China joint venture. He spent the past 13 years in Shanghai with Nike (Columbia). ... French Ligue 2 side Tours FC President JEAN-MARC ETTORI announced FABRICE BERTONE as “the club’s new director general.” Ettori also named LAURENT AUPIED as the club’s new services director. Aupied had been the administrative director at Ligue 2 side Paris FC (L’ÉQUIPE, 2/2).

COACHES/MANAGERS: The Hungarian Handball Federation has rescinded the contract of national team coach TALANT DUJSHEBAEV "following poor results at the recent European handball championship." Hungary finished 12th in the competition, meaning it will not be able to compete in the Rio Olympics (EFE, 2/2). ... LUIS FERNANDO TENA was named the new coach of Liga MX side León. He replaces JUAN ANTONIO PIZZI, who left the club to take over as head coach of Chile's national team (LA AFICIÓN, 2/1).
