Olympique Lyonnais New Stadium Parc Olympique Lyonnais Partners With Uber

French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais’ new stadium Parc Olympique Lyonnais has partnered with transportation company Uber. This is the latest step by the club to make its stadium the most connected venue in Europe. Starting Sunday for the OL vs. Olympic de Marseille match, Parc Olympique will have a restricted area reserved for Uber drivers dropping off and picking up customers. Spectators will also be able to request an Uber via the OL Parc app, which already allows fans to order food and merchandise from their seats while at matches. This is a first for Uber in Europe, which hopes to strengthen its presence at stadiums and concert venues. Olympique Lyonnais Deputy Commercial Marketing & Strategy CEO Harry Moyal said, “Uber allows us to extend our use of technology to optimize and facilitate the travel arrangements for spectators to Parc Olympique Lyonnais with ease” (Olympique Lyonnais).
