Bolton Wanderers Coaches Dip Into Own Pockets To Pay Staff

League Championship side Bolton Wanderers Manager Neil Lennon said that coaches have used their own money to "help pay staff still waiting for their wages at the debt-laden second-tier English Club," according to Alan Baldwin of REUTERS. Lennon said, "I've got staff, part of my football staff and backroom staff, who are struggling to make ends meet. That's not a great scenario. Some of us have had to whip-round for a few of them just to keep them on board." The club, which was relegated from the Premier League in '12 and "are now bottom of the Championship, have reported debts" of £172.9M ($246.7M) with January salaries unpaid (REUTERS, 1/22).
