Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger Not In Favor Of Emirates Ground-Share With Tottenham

Arsenal Manager Arsène Wenger revealed he is against ground-sharing the Emirates, the stadium that Arsenal "suffered" to build, with Tottenham, according to Simon Rice of the London INDEPENDENT. Wenger was expressing his views amid speculation over where Tottenham will play while its own stadium, White Hart Lane, "is redeveloped." Where it goes for the '17-18 season "is complicated by Chelsea also requiring an alternative home during the same season due to redevelopment of Stamford Bridge." Milton Keynes "is also an option for Tottenham but Wenger dismissed any suggestion it could be Arsenal who offer a temporary home to their north London neighbours." When asked if Tottenham could go to the Emirates, he said, "Not really. We suffered a lot to build this stadium and had to be very tight financially to pay it back. I don't know, but I don't feel it is in our plans to do it" (INDEPENDENT, 1/21).
