Second Bundesliga Club 1860 Munich Investor Promises New Stadium On Facebook

Jordanian billionaire Hasan Ismaik "took to social media to promise a new arena for 2nd Bundesliga club 1860 Munich," according to Nils Lehnebach. Ismaik, who is an investor in the German football club, posted to his Facebook account on Saturday, "We will build our own stadium, sit in our blue seats and celebrate our victory -- soon." Only a day earlier, Ismaik published similar posts. However, he did not "get more specific." The club "has been discussing a move out of the Allianz Arena for years, but has been unable to present a feasible alternative." Contractually, the club is tied to Bayern Munich, which owns the stadium, until '25. Bayern Munich previously hinted at the possibility of letting 1860 out of the contract (SPONSORs, 1/18).
