Second Bundesliga side Erzgebirge Aue "is reportedly closing in on a new shirt sponsorship deal," according to Nils Lehnebach of SPONSORs. The club, which is currently without a shirt partner, is reportedly in negotiations with the Westminster Group. Company spokesperson Andrea Meisel: "We are in negotiations, but nothing has been signed." Erzgebirge Aue President Helge Leonhardt: "I don't comment on names. Fact is we are looking for a new main and shirt sponsor and we are on the right track." The club appointed Lagardère Sports at the end of last year to find a new partner. Local media outlet Mopo24, which did not identify the name of the company, reported there are talks regarding a five-year deal. Meisel: "We are interested in a long-term partnership.
