Marketplace Roundup: NetJets Announces Brand Partnership With Maria Sharapova

Aviation company NetJets Inc. announced its brand partnership with tennis player Maria Sharapova. NetJets is now the official private aviation partner for Sharapova. In her role as a brand ambassador, Sharapova will work with NetJets' marketing, with a particular focus on social media. She will also provide exclusive experiences for NetJets owners throughout the partnership (NetJets). ... Turkish top-flight side Galatasaray has "struck a sponsorship deal with Italian heating systems company Ariston Thermo." The agreement sees Ariston become the club's socks sponsor, "with the company's branding set to feature during domestic league and cup matches." Financial terms of the deal, "which also includes further branding and promotional rights," have not been released. The deal will run for "the rest of this season" and the entirety of the '16-17 campaign (SOCCEREX, 1/14). ... Arsenal announced a three-year partnership with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia TBK to "issue co-branded debit cards in Indonesia." The partnership will "offer a range of club-related benefits." Arsenal will "also send coaches to Indonesia to conduct football clinics on behalf of Bank Muamalat" (ESPN, 1/14). ... Paris St. Germain and OptionWeb, a European online trading company, announced the signature of a partnership agreement -- the first time that the club is signing a partnership in this particular category. OptionWeb is now the official online trading platform of the club, and has acquired usage rights to the PSG image in France, Italy and Germany. It represents OptionWeb's first foray into the world of sports sponsorship in general and football in particular (PSG). ... FILA has extended its premier sponsorship agreement with the BNP Paribas Open, the largest ATP World Tour and WTA combined two-week event in the world. It will take place from March 7-20 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. FILA will continue to serve as the official apparel and footwear sponsor of the tournament, providing custom designed uniforms to event staff, volunteers, ball kids and officials. The company will continue to have a retail store on-site at the BNP Paribas Open (BNP Paribas Open). ... Tennis Europe announced a two-year partnership with leading tennis tour operator Patricio Travel. The German company will be recognized as the European Federation's official travel partner, and will become involved in the hosting and organization of major senior tennis events. The agreement sees Patricio Travel take over the event management of two of Tennis Europe's flagship senior tennis competitions; the European Senior Championships and European Senior Club Championships (Tennis Europe).
