Spain's Superior Sports Council To Audit Accounts Of Spanish Basketball Federation

The Spanish Superior Sports Council's (CSD) audit of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) will have a reach of seven years ('09-15), more than half of José Luis Sáez's tenure as FEB president, according to Antonio Salvador of EL MUNDO. The organization is "already considering requesting an early election." The committee auditing the FEB's accounts on Nov. 27 informed CSD President Miguel Cardenal of a dossier with "receipts and emails that show how Sáez charged personal spending to the federation." CSD sources said that its audit will last more than a month and cover all but four years ('05-08) of Sáez's tenure (EL MUNDO, 1/14).
