La Liga Side Granada Reportedly In Talks With Pere Guardiola-Led Agency

La Liga side Granada Owner Gino Pozzo is negotiating the sale of the club for a sum of around €40M ($43.4M) to a Spanish organization led by Pere Guardiola, the brother of Pep Guardiola, according to the EFE. Talks between Pozzo and Pere Guardiola's agency, Mediapro-owned Media Base Sport, began more than a month ago. MBS "has recently been linked by various media outlets to different Chinese organizations that could economically back the operation." Sources close to the talks said that conversations between the parties "have accelerated in the last two weeks and they have agreed upon various points," with a change in the ownership of Granada "possibly being agreed upon in the coming days" (EFE, 1/13).
