Marketplace Roundup: Paris St. Germain Partners With French Retailer Boulanger

French home appliance retailer Boulanger has “become part of the Paris St. Germain family.” The company will “spend a minimum” of €500,000 ($541,650) to €600,000 ($650,000) per year. The Boulanger logo “will appear in the aisles” at PSG’s Parc des Princes for the club’s Coupe de la Ligue match against Olympique de Lyon (LE PARISIEN, 1/12). ... The German Golf Federation (DVG) and fashion retailer Kuhn Maßkonfektion signed a new partnership. Kuhn will become the official supplier of the DGV national teams (DGV). ... Repucom and Yas Marina Circuit -- home of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix -- announced the signature of a new three-year agreement. The new partnership sees Repucom delivering Yas Marina Circuit with a comprehensive review of the F1 season finale race. The new partnership is set to identify in greater detail the extent to which the event delivers wider benefits for Abu Dhabi and the region (Repucom). ... Marriott Int'l, Inc. and the NBA announced that Marriott Rewards will become the presenting partner of the NBA Global Games London 2016, featuring the Orlando Magic playing the Toronto Raptors at The O2 on Thursday. The news extends Marriott's existing partnership with the NBA, which was announced in July when Marriott was named the official hotel of several marquee NBA events around the world (Marriot Rewards). ... Cycling Team Sky announced a new multi-year partnership agreement with Ford as the team's exclusive supplier of cars and vans. Currently in use at the team's Mallorcan training base, the vehicles will make their race debut in the first event of the European season at the Mallorca Challenge, starting Jan. 28 (Team Sky). ... Leopardstown Racecourse officials "are confident" of securing a long-term backer for the Irish Gold Cup in '17 but have confirmed there will be "no sponsor for its most prestigious steeplechase prize next month." Run for 25 years as the Hennessy Gold Cup, the Edward Dillon distriubting firm confirmed in May that it was "ending" its association with the race (IRISH TIMES, 1/11).

EMOTICONS: Liverpool and Skype have announced a partnership "that will aim to bring Reds fans around the globe together online." The linkup will "give supporters the chance to win" signed merchandise, match tickets and chat to current Anfield players. Skype "also released" a set of Liverpool based emoticons, featuring Jordan Henderson, Philippe Coutinho, Daniel Sturridge and Jurgen Klopp, "plus some other hidden ones" (London DAILY MIRROR, 1/12).
