New Haas Formula One Team Car Passes FIA's Crash Test

The new U.S.-owned Haas F1 team "looked forward" to running its car for the first time in Spain next month after it passed a final mandatory crash test on Friday, according to Alan Baldwin of REUTERS. The team, which has a European base at Banbury in central England, announced on its Twitter feed that it had "passed the governing FIA's test." It plans "to unveil the Ferrari-powered car, designed by Dallara in Italy, the day before the first pre-season test starts at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya on Feb. 22." The season "starts in Australia on March 20" (REUTERS, 1/8).
