BCCI Pays $2.35M To Indian Premier League Side Chennai Super Kings

The Board of Control for Cricket in India in its latest disbursement of funds has paid Rs 15.67 crore ($2.35M) to suspended Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings as a part of its share from the Central Rights Income for the eighth season of the IPL, according to the PTI. According to the latest list of payments of over and above Rs 25 lakh ($37,000) that has been put up on the BCCI's official website, CSK was paid Rs 15.67 crore as the third installment of the payment from CRI. It also emerged from the payment list that the BCCI has paid Kookaburra Sports India Rs 5.8M ($87,000) for white kookaburra balls which will be used for the upcoming ICC World T20 Championship. The players on the Ranji Trophy team "have some great news as the BCCI has cleared an amount" of Rs 88.2 lakh ($132,000) for match fees, subsidies and expenses for the Ranji Trophy '14-15 (PTI, 1/10).
