More Than 6 Million Viewers Tune In To Watch Final Four Hills Tournament

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded more than 6 million viewers for the final event of the '15-16 Four Hills Tournament on Wednesday," according to Holger Rehm of SPONSORs. An average of 6.22 million viewers tuned in to watch the first heat starting at 5pm. The number translated into a market share of 28.8%. In the target demographic 14-49, the first heat obtained a 15.9% share. The second heat, which started at 6:19pm, drew an average audience of 6.36 million viewers. The final heat had a 23.9% share, including 13.5% in the target demo (SPONSORs, 1/7).

: The World Juniors attracted 15.3 million unique viewers to Canadian sports networks TSN and RDS, according to preliminary overnight data from Numeris. Audiences were up 16% for Team Canada games compared to the last tournament held in Europe in '14. The World Juniors earned big audiences all tournament long, with Tuesday’s Gold Medal Game -- that saw Finland capture the championship on home ice with a dramatic 4-3 overtime victory over Russia -- attracting an average audience of 729,000 viewers to TSN (637,000) and RDS (92,000), making it the most-watched non-Canadian game of the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship. Overall, more than 2.7 million unique Canadian viewers watched Tuesday’s World Juniors championship game on TSN and RDS (TSN & RDS).

VOLLEYBALL: The France vs. Russia first round match of the Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament was broadcast exclusively on L’Équipe 21 on Wednesday, and drew an average audience of 490,000 viewers with a peak audience of 700,000 (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/7).
