Marketplace Roundup: Polish Company Wisniowski Renews Polish FA Partnership

Polish door and fencing manufacturer Wisniowski "has extended its sponsorship" of the Polish FA (PZPN). The company has sponsored the Polish national football team "for the past two years and will, as a result of the new deal, continue to do so" until '18 at least (SOCCEREX, 1/7). ... Sports marketing expert Nigel Currie said that New Zealand-born England cricketer Ben Stokes' off-field earnings could reach at least £1M ($1.5M) "within the next 12 months." Stokes hit the fastest double century for England -- and the second fastest in history -- "on day two of the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town." Currie: "His off-pitch earnings over the next 12 months could reach seven figures. In terms of his charisma and his marketability ... Stokes seems to have it all" (BBC, 1/6). ... Amaya, which owns PokerStars, has hired CP&B "to be the lead creative and strategic agency for its new sports book, BetStars." CP&B won the brief after "a competitive pitch, run by Amaya internally, against three other agencies." The estimated £10M ($14.6M) campaign for the brand "will launch in the coming weeks and will run in the U.K. and several other European countries" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 1/7). ... British Gymnastics has agreed to a new partnership with Getty Images "ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio." The deal will see British Gymnastics "grant one of Getty Images' sports photographers, access to some of the U.K.'s gymnasts as they train in the run up to next summer's Olympic Games" (ISPORTCONNECT, 1/7). ... India's leading mobile-wallet app Oxigen Wallet has officially been announced as the title sponsor for the upcoming Masters Champions League. With this sponsorship, the inaugural season of MCL will be known as the Oxigen Masters Champions League. The tournament will see Oxigen and MCL have extensive cooperation in terms of sports events, on-ground activation and marketing campaigns (Masters Champions League). ... Switzerland's tennis federation, Swiss Tennis, agreed to a partnership with mineral water brand Evian. The two parties signed a three-year deal (Swiss Tennis).
