Major League Soccer side NYC FC named former Tribeca Enterprises President & COO JON PATRICOF president, effective in March. Current NYC FC President TOM GLICK will continue in his role until March and will remain with the club through the spring. Later in '16, Glick will assume a role overseeing commercial activities across the whole City Football Group, which includes Man City. Patricof will report to NYC FC Managing Dir & CFG CEO FERRAN SORIANO (NYC FC). ... BT Sport has lost a "pivotal figure" in its "fierce battle with Sky for subscription TV supremacy" thanks to the departure of Senior Exec Producer GRANT BEST. His "shock exit is understood to follow a major disagreement with the way the network, which has built up an impressive portfolio of sports rights in a short period," was planning its future. This is believed to center on "developing a rival to Sky One" rather than concentrating all its resources on sport. Best is leaving "without having another job lined up" (London DAILY MAIL, 1/6). ... The IAAF Ethics Commission announced the appointments of Justice CATHERINE O'REGAN and ANNABEL PENNEFATHER. O’Regan is a former judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa and has served since '10 as an ad hoc judge of the Supreme Court of Namibia. Pennefather is a distinguished Singaporean lawyer with substantial experience in sports law and governance. She is currently a VP of the Singapore National Olympic Council, deputy president of the Int'l Hockey Federation’s Judicial Commission and a member of the Olympic Council of Asia’s Sports for All Committee (IAAF). ... Pentathlon GB named DANIELLE EVERY its new CEO. Every joins Pentathlon GB from the FA, where she was director of football operations, working closely with the technical director and raising standards of coaching following the opening of St. George’s Park, the game’s national football training center. Every spent more than a decade at the FA, most notably as head of FA learning (Pentathlon GB). ... The Rugby Football League appointed CHRIS BRINDLEY as non-exec director to the RFL Board. Brindley is experienced in both business and sport, having previously worked as NatWest's managing director, north of England and Scotland region, as well as a national sales director with British Gas (RFL). ... Motorsport Network named AOL Auto VP & GM CHRIS ESCHENBURG president of global operations, where he will oversee both Motorsport.com and Motor1.com (Motorsport Net). ... WWE named Viacom Media Networks Senior Counsel MICHEL WERTHENSCHLAG VP/int'l business & legal affairs (THE DAILY). ... Red Bull Global Rallycross named Red Bull North America Senior Motorsports Marketing Manager COLBY RODRIGUEZ to its exec management team, where he will work conjointly with CEO COLIN DYNE on day-to-day management of the series (Red Bull Global Rallycross).
