Media Notes: Coppa Italia Returns To Eurosport In France

Absent from French TV channels since last summer, the Coppa Italia will "now be broadcast on Eurosport France." After “spells at Orange Sport and beIN Sports, the competition returns to the channel it left in 2010.” Eurosport parent company Discovery group negotiated the broadcast rights for France, “the length of the contract has not been announced” (EUROSPORT, 1/5). ... French horse racing rights-holders France Galop and LeTrot have opted "against renewing rights deals with public-service broadcaster France Televisions and digital-terrestrial-television channel L'Équipe 21." The rights deals with both broadcasters "expired on December 31, 2015." France Galop and LeTrot said that they were in advanced negotiations to seal a new deal with a "public channel" (SPORTBUSINESS, 1/5). ... Electronic Arts announced EA Sports UFC 2 will launch on March 15 in North America, and March 17 worldwide. In addition to the announcement, EA released a cinematic trailer for EA Sports UFC 2 featuring some of the biggest moments from recent bouts. The game's cover is shared by UFC fighters Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey (EA Sports).
