NFL Working To Bring Game To Mexico, But Denies Decision Has Been Reached

The NFL's Mexican office said that it is continuing its work to "bring a game to the country," according to LA AFICIÓN. It said in a statement, "We are continuing to work to return to Mexico with an NFL game; but while talks continue, as of today no decision has been made to hold a game in Mexico in 2016." This follows "published reports that there were teams, a venue and a date agreed upon for the game." The NFL explained that there are a series of requirements for a facility to meet to host a game (LA AFICIÓN, 1/4). Vic Tafur, who covers the Oakland Raiders for the San Francisco Chronicle, tweeted that he heard rumors the game would involve the Raiders and Houston Texans (Twitter).
