Executive Transactions

UFC Gym has named TAMER EL GUINDY as its SVP of Int'l Franchising and Head of UFC Gym University. In his role, he is responsible for all int'l operations, support and expansion of the UFC Gym brand. As head of UFC Gym University, he is charged with leading the training and development of all franchise and corporate employees of UFC Gym (UFC). ... Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem Manager PETER BOSZ has "resigned to take over at Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv after signing an 18-month conract." Assistant ROB MAAS "has been put in caretaker charge of Vitesse," which lies fifth in the Dutch league standings. At Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bosz replaces SLAVISA JOKANOVIC, "who moved to Fulham last month (REUTERS, 1/4). ... RAFA BENÍTEZ "is gone as Real Madrid manager." That part is not "surprising -- the odds were stacked against him from the moment he took over -- but what is surprising is the timing" and the choice of ZINEDINE ZIDANE as his successor (ESPN, 1/4).
