Media Notes: Paris St. Germain, Ooredoo Announce Over 13 Million Youtube Views

Paris St. Germain partner Ooredoo "has announced a recent digital promotion generated more than 13 million Youtube views." The promotion, "a fan competition, culminated with the sending of 15 winners to Qatar to meet the players and watch a friendly match" between Inter Milan and PSG on Dec. 30 at Qatar's Al Sadd Stadium. More than 8,000 messages "were sent during the campaign." The campaign "also generated more than a million visits to the dedicated website," 126,000 new fans on the group Facebook page and 24,000 mentions on Twitter (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 1/4). ... StarHub announced that it secured a multi-year agreement for the rights to broadcast La Liga. Matches will be shown in high definition on StarHub TV and on StarHub Go. Live coverage began with league winners Real Madrid playing Real Sociedad. Matches will be broadcast on SuperSports 2 and StarHub's free cable channel SuperSports Arena (StarHub TV Channel 112/205 and 76.25MHz) (StarHub). ... Eurosport’s broadcast of the Coupe de France match between Ligue 1 sides SM Caen and Olympique de Marseille (0-0) obtained a record audience of 250,000 viewers for Eurosport 2, with a peak audience of 310,000 (L’ÉQUIPE, 1/4).
