UEFA Gives Toulouse Nearly $1M For Stadium Renovations Leading Up To Euro 2016

UEFA along with the French Football Federation have allotted €919,030 ($993,930) “for the renovation of two stadiums in Toulouse,” according to 20 MINUTES. Toulouse “will host four Euro 2016 matches,” scheduled from June 10 through July 10. Toulouse Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc announced in a statement that the city wants a “legacy” that will “leave a lasting mark of this event.” The €919,030 from UEFA “will help refurbish the Ramée Stadium and the pitch of the Rangueil Sports Complex.” Moudenc: “I am pleased to see the culmination of this project.” The amount “will not cover the entire cost but it will finance the majority.” Moudenc estimates the total cost of the renovations to be €1.04M ($1.12M), €500,000 ($540,000) for the Ramée Stadium and €541,700 ($585,550) for the Rangueil Sports Complex (20 MINUTES, 1/4).
