Marketplace Roundup: HBL Club Füchse Berlin Partners With Supermarket Chain Lidl

Handball Bundesliga (HBL) club Füchse Berlin "agreed to a new sponsorship deal with Lidl." The supermarket chain "will become a second-tier partner of the club." Lidl will receive ad space on LED boards as well as on the jersey sleeve. The contract, which "will run until the end of the '17-18 season," has an estimated value between €100,000-€150,000 ($110,000-$165,000) annually (SPONSORs, 12/21). ... Online casino and sports betting operator Interwetten extended its sponsorship deal with Austrian Bundesliga side SV Grödig. The extension will see Interwetten remain as the Austrian top flight side’s main sponsor until the end of the '18-19 season and Interwetten’s logo will continue to be featured on the front of the players’ shirts (SOCCEREX, 12/22). ... Serie A side Juventus named Rowenta For Men its official shaving partner for '16. The deal will see the male grooming brand "launch a number of contests offering Juventus fans the chance to win prizes, both inside and away from the stadium" (SOCCEREX, 12/22). ... ManU's official social casino games partner, KamaGames, launched a new Social Slots online game, aimed at the club’s 659 million global fans. Manchester United Social Slots, powered by KamaGames, features images of the club’s first-team players and gives fans of United the opportunity to play and interact with other supporters around the world. As a social casino game, no money can be won; however, players can participate in social media competitions, with the chance to win ManU prizes, such as signed memorabilia, match tickets and VIP experiences (ManU).
