Spain's Regional Hoops Federations Meet With FEB To Address Accusations

Spain's regional basketball federations and the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) met for the first time since various regional federations accused the FEB of "improper use of funds," according to Lucas Sáez-Bravo of EL MUNDO. The meeting was promoted by acting FEB President Juan Manuel Martín Caño, who is filling the role due to FEB President José Luis Sáez's current medical issue. In attendance were 18 of the 19 heads of the autonomous federations, and the meeting lasted three hours. The objective was to "make a call for calm," and afterward a statement assured that the "exceptional situation we are experiencing requires responsible measures to maintain a solid, stable project thanks to the support of the sponsors, institutions, clubs, athletes and fans" (EL MUNDO, 12/16).
