Event Notes: 2016 Copa América Centenario Final To Be Held At MetLife Stadium

Copa América Centenario organizers announced the 2016 Copa América Centenario final will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on June 26. The 82,000-seat stadium will host the climactic match of next summer's edition of the South American championship, a 16-team tournament featuring the top teams from the Western Hemisphere held June 3-26 in 10 venues across the U.S. (MLS). ... Prominent netball nations Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa "will contest the first in a regular series of tournaments" from late '16, as part of a new partnership called SANZEA. Recognizing the "need for regular int'l fixtures outside of Netball World Cup and Commonwealth Games years, New Zealand and Australia will stage the inaugural event next year, while South Africa and England will host the next, in 2017, before a review that may provide for expansion" (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 12/17).
