Marketplace Roundup: South African Rugby Union Partners With Bidvest Car Rental

The South African Rugby Union on Thursday named Bidvest Car Rental the official car rental supplier to the Springboks and SA Rugby. The partnership will see the Springbok logo used in the marketing materials of Bidvest as well as appearances by players in support of the company. National players on team duty and SA Rugby staff will also exclusively use Bidvest vehicles for the next five years (SPORT24, 12/10). ... The Int'l Cricket Council announced a new global partnership with smartphone manufacturer Oppo in a four-year deal which runs from '16 until '20. Launched in China in '04, Oppo has a strong presence in more than 20 countries and a significant number of regions worldwide, including Australia, China, the U.S., Africa, Europe, the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia (ICC). ... Australian Football League side Geelong extended its partnership with Ford Australia through '20. The partnership dates back to 1925 and is the longest running sponsorship in world sport (Geelong).
