Marketplace Roundup: Accolade Wines Signs Three-Year Deal With Lawn Tennis Association

Accolade Wines signed a three-year deal with the Lawn Tennis Association that will see its Anakena South American brand "become the official wine of British tennis and the LTA." The company will invest £500,000 ($758,325) in its "newly acquired Chilean wine over the next 12 months in a bid to build awareness and brand loyalty" (THE GROCER, 12/9). ... The Premier League announced that Nike will continue as the official ball provider for the competition until at least '19. Nike has been a Premier League partner since '00-01. The new agreement will include Nike support for the Premier League players' kit scheme starting next season (Premier League). ... A-League side Sydney FC agreed to a deal with major sponsor StarTrack to become the team's principal front of shirt sponsor for its '16 AFC Champions League campaign. The StarTrack logo will adorn Sydney FC’s new-look AFC Champions League kit which will be produced by Puma. StarTrack will be afforded branding on the front of the playing shirts and training kits (Sydney FC). ... McDonald's has extended its sponsorship of Ligue 1 club Paris St. Germain. Under the terms of the deal, McDonald's will remain the club's official supplier until the end of the '16-17 season (SOCCEREX, 12/9). ... Edinburgh-based law firm McEwan Fraser Legal signed a hat trick of shirt sponsorship deals with Scottish football clubs. The company will see its branding on the playing kits of Scottish Premiership clubs Dundee FC, Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle for two seasons, starting from the '16-17 campaign. It is the first time in history that the two Dundee clubs have shared a shirt sponsor, and also the "first time a single company has served as the main sponsor for three clubs" in the Scottish football league system (SOCCEREX, 12/9). ... McLaren-Honda announced the extension of its partnership with leading bank Santander UK. The agreement will continue the partnership for a further five years until the end of '20, with British driver Jenson Button continuing to be featured prominently in Santander campaigns (McLaren).
