Second Bundesliga Side Eintracht Braunschweig Reports €408K Profit For '14-15

Second Bundesliga club Eintracht Braunschweig reported a profit for the '14-15 fiscal year, according to Holger Rehm of SPONSORs. The club's football department generated a profit of €407,797. The team's revenue was around €29M. During the '13-14 season, Braunschweig made a profit of about €3M and revenue of €39M. In '13-14, the club played in the top-flight Bundesliga and generated €20M from TV alone. The main club also reported a profit for '14-15. The BTSV Eintracht von 1895 unveiled a profit of €192,702. In comparison, the club made a profit of €973,000 during the previous year (SPONSORs, 12/9). The DPA reported Braunschweig also announced that it has reached an agreement with the Sportwelt/Kölmel Group that "will take some financial pressure off the club." Starting this season, the club will have to pay a smaller share its TV income to the group. Fifteen years ago, Braunschweig "sold all marketing rights" to Sportwelt/Kölmel Group (DPA, 12/8).
