Premier League side Norwich City confirmed ALAN BOWKETT has stepped down from his position as chair and director of the club. Bowkett joined the board of directors in '09. The club has been working recently to refresh the board of directors and an announcement about new directors and a new chair will be made in the next few weeks. The ownership of the club will be unaffected by these changes (Canaries). ... State Minister KATE JONES has "lost the prized Commonwealth Games portfolio in a shock shake-up" in Monday's ANNASTACIA PALASZCZUK government "cabinet reshuffle." Jones, who held the "super portfolio" of education, tourism and Commonwealth Games, was "among those whose responsibilities were split during the reshuffle." The Commonwealth Games portfolio, overseeing the '18 event, "will be taken up by STIRLING HINCHLIFFE who will remain leader of the house and will also pick up transport" (GOLD COAST BULLETIN, 12/7). ... Warwickshire County Cricket Club announced MARK MCCAFFERTY has been appointed to the club's management board as a non-exec director. McCafferty is CEO of Premier Rugby Ltd. -- a role he took on in '05 -- and was formerly CEO of Avis Europe Plc. He also previously held senior exec posts with Thomas Cook (Edgbaston). ... The All England Lawn Tennis Club announced the appointment of PAUL DAVIES in a new full-time position as head of broadcast and production at the AELTC and The Championships, Wimbledon. Davies is an award-winning TV exec with 30 years' experience in the broadcast industry, most recently as lead exec producer for the BBC's Olympic, tennis, rugby, golf, boat race and Sports Personality of the Year output. Davies will take up his position in the new year (Wimbledon).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Argentine first division side Lanús named JORGE ALMIRÓN its new coach on Tuesday. He replaces GUILLERMO BARROS SCHELOTTO (LOS ANDES, 12/8). ... CLAUDE ROBIN will succeed JEAN-MARC FURLAN as the manager of Ligue 1 side Troyes. The club released Furlan last week, and confirmed the appointment of Robin Tuesday. Robin was the former training center director for the club, and will be assisted by MICHEL PADOVANI, MOHAMED BRADJA and OLIVIER TINGRY (L’ÉQUIPE, 12/8). ... League Championship side Fulham appointed STUART GRAY as a senior coach as its "search for a head coach continues." The 55-year-old, sacked by League Championship side Sheffield Wednesday in June, "is preparing the first team" for Saturday's home game against Brentford. Fulham dismissed KIT SYMONS in early November (PA, 12/8).
