ESPN Deportes Debuts New Four-Studio Production Facility In Mexico City

ESPN Deportes will debut its new four-studio production facility in Mexico City on Monday, with the kick-off transmission of SportsCenter. The program airs at 11:30pm following the NFL Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins game. Carolina Padron, Ciro Procuna and Jorge Eduardo Sanchez will anchor the show alongside special guests to be announced on social media via #SCTeSorprendera. ESPN Int'l and ESPN Deportes VP of Production Rodolfo Martinez said, "The SportsCenter produced in Mexico City embodies ESPN’s history of innovation and being an industry forerunner." Developed with the identical technology and look-and-feel of other SportsCenter editions, the studio is designed to enhance the presentation of content, increase engagement and provide a better stage for on-air journalists to showcase their knowledge and personality. The facility features two sets that can be used simultaneously, a specially-designed curved 538-square foot HD screen and light design from Ferri Lighting. The studios’ video feed technology also enriches branding opportunities as it allows advertisers to target audiences with unique, dedicated content from various countries at the same time (ESPN).
