Italian Car Brand Alfa Romeo To End Shirt Sponsorship Deal With Eintracht Frankfurt

Italian car brand Alfa Romeo "will not renew its shirt sponsorship deal with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt," according to Kathrin Hartmann of SPONSORs. The current contract "is set to expire at the end of the season." Alfa Romeo has been the club's shirt sponsor since the '13-14 season. The car brand will "definitively" not extend its expiring contract with the club. Eintracht Frankfurt and its marketing partner Lagardère Sports have reportedly already started searching for a new partner. Alfa Romeo currently pays an estimated €6M ($6.6M) annually for the partnership (SPONSORs, 12/3).
