Marketplace Roundup: Björn Borg Terminates Distribution Contract For Benelux Region

Björn Borg terminated the distribution contract for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, aiming to run the distribution of Björn Borg products in the region in-house. Current distributors will hold the distribution rights during the four-year term of notice, unless the parties agree on an earlier takeover. Benelux, and especially the Netherlands, is of material importance to Björn Borg, which has a foothold in the region within underwear as well as sports apparel, the group’s new business focus (Björn Borg). ... Liverpool announced a new partner for Singapore -- NTUC Income OrangeAid. NTUC Income will partner the club for two years in a bid to drive awareness of the program’s objectives and initiatives (Liverpool). ... The ANZ Championship announced The Coffee Club will become the official ball partner for the '16 season. The Coffee Club was established in Brisbane in '89 and now has more than 360 cafes in every major capital in Australia and cities in New Zealand where the 10 teams are based. The Coffee Club also extended its commitment to the ANZ Championship by becoming the naming rights sponsor of defending champions Queensland Firebirds (ANZ Championship).
