The advertising division of Sky, Sky Media, appointed BERND DAUBENMERKL as director of int'l sales and partnerships for its "new international sales team, working with global brands to develop campaigns across the company’s European territories." Daubenmerkl will report to Sky Media Managing Dir JOHN LITSTER, while working closely with Exec VP of Communications, Public Affairs & Advertising Sales WOLFRAM WINTER in Germany, and Exec VP for Sports & Advertising Sales JACQUES RAYNAUD in Italy (MMG, 11/19). ... STEVEN LOWY was elected as chairman of Football Federation Australia for a three-year term following the 2015 Annual General Meeting. At the AGM, four new directors were elected unanimously by the Members. They are: Lowy, co-CEO of global retail property group Westfield Corp.; DANIEL MOULIS, a former Socceroo and principal of Moulis Legal, a specialist legal firm based in Canberra and Brisbane and operating across Australia and in Asia; CRISPIN MURRAY, head of Equity Strategies and BT Investment Management; KELLY BAYER ROSMARIN, group exec for institutional banking and markets at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (FFA). ... Three New Zealand Cricket directors -- MARTIN SNEDDEN, DON MACKINNON and GEOFF ALLOT -- “were re-elected” to the NZC board. NZC Chair STUART HEAL “returned” as the board chair (ESPN, 11/19). ... Turkish club Galatasaray announced the departure of coach HAMZA HAMZAOĞLU, with CLÁUDIO TAFFAREL to be in caretaker charge. Hamzaoğlu leaves with the club third in the Süper Lig. The 46-year-old was appointed last December having previously been assistant to Turkey coach FATIH TERIM, and guided the club to a league-and-cup double (UEFA). … League Championship club Fulham is set to appoint Reading Manager STEVE CLARKE as its new manager. Ex-West Bromwich Albion boss Clarke has been at Madejski Stadium for 11 months. He is expected to replace KIT SYMONS, who was dismissed from the job at Craven Cottage on Nov. 8 (BBC, 11/19). ... The Oman FA on Thursday terminated national football team coach PAUL LE GUEN’s contract two days after Oman’s 1-2 away defeat to Turkmenistan. His sacking “came as a surprise as the OFA’s top brass has always been backing the coach despite heavy criticism of his coaching methods” (TIMES OF OMAN, 11/19).
